Tho announcement for tho third an
nual meeting of the West Central
Nebraska Nobraska Educational Asso
ciation, to bo held at North Platto,
April 3, 4 and 5, have boon issued by
the county superintendent
State Superintendent Delzoll will be
present and address the teachers and
Qthor well known speakers will be
present. Officers for the ensuing year
will bo elocted and good music and on
tortainmet is planned for all. A ban
quet will bo held on the closing day
of the meet and a special visiting day
with programs will bo designated.
Addresses will be given by men and
women of state and national fair.e. Tho
most prominent men and women en
gaged in school work in the Wost Cen
tral District will take part on these
progrants cither by opening the sub
jects or carrying on the discussion.
They will begin at 10 a. m. central
time.
Afternoon sessions will bo divided
between four section meetings. The
High School section will be presided
over by Miss Cora O'Connell, principal
of the Model high school of the Kear
ney normal. Tho rural school section
will be in charge of Miss Hulda Peter
son, assistant in charge of tho boys
and girls club work of the agricul
tural extension department of tho Uni
versity of Nebraska, and Miss Anna
V. Day, assistant state1 superintendent
of Nebraska. The primary school
department will be in chargo of Miss
Charlotte j Lowe, primary supervisor
of the model school of the Kearney
normal. The grado section will bo in
charge of Miss Emma Smith principal
of the Lincoln school, North Platte.

Lincoln yesterday the democrats ac
cepted a promise of the Lincoln city
council to raise $100,000 toward buyjng
the $600,000 worth of land needed to
provide a small campus for tho state
university in the city, and voted to kill
the bill that provided for the consolida
tion of tho colleges down town with the
Agricultural college on the state farm.
A crowd of ten or more young people
hsld a sleighing party last evening and
made merry with horns, cow bells, etc.,
while riding.
