Lonerean will entertain the Ladv Forresters at a kensington this afternoon at the home of the latter. Friends in the city will be interested in knowine that the wedding of Miss Mavbell Tobin. formerly of this city. will take place in Denver Wednesday, January 8th. Claude Selby will leave Sunday for Chicago after spending his Xmas holi days at home. Claude will complete his medical courso in the Physicians & Surgeons college in June. ;Harry Smith, who had been visiting his parents, returned to Chicago yester day, where he is a student in the Rush medical college, this being his second year, Harry is also second assistant physical instructor in the city park play ground. In a letter to the Omaha Bee, Dr. D. T. Quigley, of this city, suggests that Omaha's new hotel be named after Colonel W, F. Cody, frontier hero who has been admired, if not worshipped, by the boys of three decades past the country over. An advance of one and three-quarter cents per gallon was made at Omaha Tuesday, bringing the wholesale price up to eighteen cents per gallon. Huntinton spent Wednesday in Grand Island and visited eighteon or twenty Lincoln county people who are inmates of the soldiers, home. The class of 1907 held a reunion at the home of Miss Alice Birge Wednes day evening. The former class songs, es says etc., were furnished for the amuse ment of the guests after which they adjourned to tho Palace Cafe where a turkey dinner was served and oach momber of tho class responded to a toast.
