At a meeting of tho Baptist people Wednesday evening It was decided to erect a new church building on tho lot at tho corner of Locust and Fourth streets. An architect has been era' ployed to draw plans and the intention is to have the building completed this year. The old Unitarian hall building was sold Saturday to Thomas Rowley, living south of the river for $325. The building is now boing torn down by the purchaser, who will use the lumber in building a barn. The demolition of the hall removes one of the old landmarks of the city. For the National cemetery, May 30, 1912, a fine program has been arranged by Supt. Ingles, who will be assissted by Past Judge Advocate Genl. T. C. The graduating exercises of tho class of 1912 were held nt the Keith theatre Friday evening. The theatre was crowded with parents, friends and schoolmates of tho graduates. Tho program opened with nn instrumental solo by Miss Eva Pickernton followed by an invocation by Rev. Patrick Mc Daid. Vocal solos were rendered by Miss Faye Carpenter nnd Mrs. Elizabeth Cramer, after which Hon. D. Love, of Lincoln, delivered tho principal .address of the evening taking as his subject "Vnrious Parasites." The diplomas wore presented by E. T. Tramp, president of the board of education, nfter which a violin solo was rendered by Mjss Ireno VanTrot and benediction given by Rev. R. B. Fnvoright. The class roll number twenty-two young ladies and gentle men who start out in life under very favorable conditions, having graduated with highest honors and possessing the talents, confidence nnd ability for n successful career in their chosen voca tion. The stage was decorated in class colors, palms and ferns and tho class formed n semi-circle across it. Tho gowns of tho young ladies were beautiful and each carried a largo boquet of white roses the class flower. An elaborate three course banquet in honor of thegiaduates of St. Patrick's convent was held in the class room the Inst of the week. The tables were beautifully decorated in the class colors of blue and white, candles of tho same colors were burning on the tables. Flowers also helped to make the tables chaiming. Master Paul Roddy was toastmaster and nil members called on responded piomptly. The evening was spent in playing games, tennis being the principal one.
