married Saturday by Judge Grant in
the presence of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard
Miller.

Mr. and Mrs. Felix Simon, formerly
of this city who now reside in Lincoln,

Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Dickey returned
the last of the week from Lincoln
where the former attended the whole
sale ice cream makers convention and
the latter visited friends.

Father McGovorn. of Omaha, has
been appointed Bishop of Cheyenne.
Having visited this city, he has many
friends in town who arc pleased to
hear of his promotion.
Ray Langford left yesterday morn
ing for Omaha to attend the Stato
Treasurers' meeting. Before returning
he will spend a week or more with
relatives in Corning, Iown.
The Christian Aid Society will meet
Thursday afternoon nt the home of

turned Saturday morning from a
month's visit with relatives at Plntts

! Frank Shnub, a former North Platte
ball player, has been paroled from tho
Wisconsin state pententiary, to which
institution he had been sentenced for
two years on a perjury charge in con
nection with court proceedings atten
dant upon a divorce trom his first wife.
Mrs. Robt Armstrong and family and
Miss Grace Armstrong are packing
their household Roods preparatory to
moving to Suthorlin, Ore., where
other members of tho family are
located.

Wants Alimony Retained .
A dispatch sent out from Omaha Sat
urday says: Charging that the alimony
settled on his f Armer wife when she se
cured her divorce last February was
obtained by misrepresentation and
fraud in conspiracy with W. R. Mc
Keen, whom she nfterwards married,
C. W. Hull has brought suit in district
court against his former wife to com
pel her to pay back to him the $31,000
alimony she fins already collected and
to restrain her from collecting tho re
mainder of tho $91,000 ho agreed to pay
her.
Mr. Hull alleges in his petition that
for two years previous to the divorce,
his wife and McKeon conspired to get
the divorce nnd alimony for her and
marry. Ho says he was forced to
settle on the terms Mrs. Hull de
manded, because she threatened to
make public her petition which con
tained statements about his private
business that ho could not afford to
have made public at tho time.
Tho case was settled out of court and
only a part of Mrs. Hull's petition be
come public.
