Complimentary to Byors Fink, who

Fink with a handsome gold watch as a
remembrance of his asioclates in tho
store. That this gift and the spirit
which prompted it was appreciated was
evidenced by Mr. Fink's response. En

Capital Removal Bill Passes House.
The agitation for the removal, of the
state capital from Lincoln received its
first big boost Wednesday in a decisive
victory in the house of representatives
of tho legislature where aftnr hours of
argument it was recommended for pas
sago by a substantial majority. Tho
Bailey bill which pits the present capi
tal against more than two-thirds of tho
entire state was recommended for pas
sage by a vote of G3 to 44, Friends of
the measure say they have votes enough
to push it through tho houRe on third
reading with case.

County Option Defeated in Senate.
Without any fireworks the county
option bill waB defeated on its passnge
in tho senate Wednesday forenoon
This result was not unexpepted, it
generally being believed thnt Bartling
of Otoe would voto against It. He was
the only republican who did so. Ollls
of Valloy, who introduced tne bill, Leo
of Boyd, and Bodlnson of Buffalo, were
tho only democrats who voted for tho
bill. It received sixteen votes, whilo
seventeen were cast against it. By

local option law subservient to the
