fuls of baking powder siftod well. Add
tho well beaten yolks of threo eggs.

milk and lastly add tho stiffly bcaton
whites. Bako In a shallow squaro and
break tho cake Instead of cutting it

Tnko one and one-half cupfuls of
graham flour, one-half cupful of whlto
flour, one-quarter of a cupful of sugar,
Vno-half toaspoonful of salt and two
tcaspoonfuls of baking powdor, well
lifted with tho flour. Add to this two
well boatcn eggs and ono cupful of
milk. Bako In hot gem pans twenty
flvo minutoB. Thin slices of broad
dipped In egg and frlod on both sides

tho salad with water lilies mado of
hard-cooked eggs.

In Inch and a half strips and shred
nearly to tho centor from each end.
Put Into wator which has boon mado
slightly acid with lemon Julco or vine

move tho blood. Parboil 20 minutes

cucumber, season with unit nnd pop

cream dressing, using sour cream sea

8nvory Potato Pie.
Peel and parboil a quart of potatoes,
bIIco and put them In a deep plo dish
with Bait, .pepper and two small onions,
sliced; a tablespoonful of tapioca
which has boon soaked for an hour, a
half a pint of water und a tablespoon
ful of butter. Half a oupful of celery
or a dash .of celery salt Is an addition
to tho pie. Cover It with pastry and
bako half an hour In n moderate oven
Egg and Tomato Pudding.
Cook six 'eggs in tho shell until hard,
out each into eighths, lay them In u
woll-butterod pudding dish, pour over
thorn two cupfuls 01 stewed tomatoes,
thickened with a Inblcspoonul of flour
rubbed in two tablespoonfuls of b.utter,
ceason with popper and salt and a toa
spoonful of onion juice. Cover tho top

tender in boiling salted water, drain
