'& Co. bo was not authorized to sign
the firm name, but it was not known-
bo contracted to deliver thousands of
tons of iron at a flguro below tho mar-
kot price, tbo iron to, bo delivered in
ninety days. This done, bo took tbo
first steamer that sailed for America.
