something of an idea of its importance

tional ability required: School houaes,

ren of school ago, 37;l,820; total en
rollment, 280,617; valuo of school dis
trict property, $12,070,500.00; total
teachers' wages, !l,403,G-17.09; amount
paid for books and supplies, 200,158.35;
total expenditures, $5,452,289.00.
For this oilico western Nebraska
submits to tho careful judgment of tho
voters, subject to tho decision of the
Republican primaries, September 1st a
man thoroughly capable and in every
way worthy of this most important
trust. Prof. James E. Dolzcll, for at
least eleven years, has given eminent
satisfaction as superintendent of the
schools of our neighboring city of Lex
ington, and during his incumbency tho
schools there havo been brought to a
high stato of efficiency. For five years
ho has been a member of tho stato
board of education for normal schools,
being at present president of that body.
Tho experience thus gained has been
of great valuo as to tho requirements
of our school system. Mr. Delzoll will
get practically tho unanimous voto of
this section for this most important
office.
