New Masonic Temple.
At a regular meeting of the
Platte Valley Lodge A. F. and A.
M. neid Tuesday evening the pro
ject of building a new Masonic
temple was freely discussed. The
members were practically unani
mnus in declaring that in their cs
timation the proper tunc to com
mence making preparations to
build a temple which would be a
credit to them and also to the town
had arrived. F. E. Dullard, C. F.
hidings and Charles McDonald
were appointed a committee to con
sider and investigate the ways and
means and report to the lodge.
It ia quite possible that active
building operations will not com
mence tins season as mere arc a
great many preliminary financial
arrangements to be made and they
win necessarily consume some
time and probably neccsitatc post
poning building until next year,
Part of the building and loan stock
which the masons own will not be
available until March 1901. There
is no doubt but that the temple
will be built and that when it is
built it will be one of the finest in
Nebraska. If it is found impos
sible to commence building opera
this year they will be commenced
very early in 1901.

W. A. Paxton of Omaha was
