Uawton, iuoor Logan, and Dr. Armstrong, passed through here shortly before midnight Saturday, The train consisted of a baggage car, a com posite car and two Pullmans. The caskets were in the composite car which was beautifully draped with American Hags. Ths caskets were completely covered with flowers and they were also banked up agaiust the sides of the car. A military escort consisting of a ser geant, q trumpeter and two privates guarded the remains." Mr. Lawton and her four children, Mrs. Arm strong. Mrs. Logan and a number of relatives ot the ladies were aboad the train. Mrs. Lawton and the children have been journeying 'continuously since December when they left Manila. Lieutenant Breckinridge, the officer whom General Lawton was trying to assist when he lost his life was a passenger on train No. 2 Sundayi en route to Washington to attend the General's funeral. The Lieutenant is still very weak and ill from. the effect of his wounds and the physicians were very much averse to his leaving the hospital but he felt that it was his duty to pay a last tribute of respect to the brave man who practically gave up his life for him.
