suspicions aroused and swore out a
warrant against Reynolds. He
arrested him after he had eaten his
dinner, and discovered nearly fiftv
dollars on his person, some in eac
vest pocket, some in a small pocket
book and about tour dollars m his
shoe, although Reynolds denied up
and down that he had any money.
This, together with several other
suspicious circumstances, led to
his being at once placed in jail.
Moore, H. D. Moore, Lee Nunn, C.
E. Trognitz and J. C. Bush left
town at two o'clock for the scene of
the tragedy, and Deputy Sheriff
Carly, who had returned from
Potter, and Ed. Fitch, followed
shortly afterwards. Arriving at
Tusler's horse ranch the party was
joined by Constable George Laing,
of Camp Clarke, and several other
men. Proceeding rapidly to the
spot the coroner summoned a

great hurry to get there first, or he
would not cut cross lots.
