I would rather eoL Well, I am in
Mullen, and am jroinK out fifchinfr, and
may not jjct back in time to write thin
column, therefore I thought that I
nhould write a little hit and ask the
editor to add a little bit in the way
of comment.
Say, have you ever been in Mullen?
Well, it's quite a little city, with its
paved streets n 'everything, and besides
a pood bunch of fellows, all ready to
take you out fishing.
There Is Harry Deitrick, all bubbling
over with excitement as he used to
when in Alliance at Holsten'a foun
tain, but just aching to take a fellow
out to the lakes to fish, and you ought
to pee his two little girls, just the
healthiest pair you ever saw. Harry
owns and operates the ice plant in con
nection with his drug business. .
This is the kind of treutment a fel
low likes in a strange town, and a
ftrnnger is no better than the fellow
one call friend, and it has always been
our policy at the store to treat a
stranger as a friend; thereby one will
have many more friends, and it makes
us sick almost to lose a friend, so
again we would say if you have any
thing to kick about and have to regis
ter it some place, then drop right in
and say it to our face, so that we may
have a chance to prove that we have
always said that we are always want
ing to make anything right, that may
have gone wrong,
The program at the Imperial thea
ter, starting with a strong feature to
night, will l of much interest to Alli
ance theatregoers and carries out the
policy of the management in securing
the best at all times.
It's not our fault if merqhandise
goes wrong, but it is our fault if we
do not make it right, so we do our
best to have lots of satisfied customers.
The steadfast policy of this store in
electing only merchandise of relia
bility, pricing it fairly and protecting
our customers by prompt willing ad
justments of any errors, has won for
us tho confidence of the most careful
buyers. They know they can buy On
Faith and be safe.
'
The purchasing agent of the big
concern gets his Bulary for intelligent
ly buying things necessary to that
firm's existence.
This store considers itself in the
light of a purchasing agent to every
customer caring to use the service. To
that end we do our best to keep ac
curately informed as to the proper and
very best things to buy. It is as if
you paid us a yearly commission to
keep you properly clothed.
You are right in thinking that any
breach of this confidence you place in
us should cause us to lose our job,
providing we don't make good and do
better next time.
u
Since we are working for you, and
are dependent upon you for our living,
we mean at all times to tell you the
tnlth in our advertising. You are en
titled to this. Everything we do is
done with or for your approval, and so
you should know all about it. You hire
us, and you have a right to know just
what we are doing at all times.
Yours as always,

William RuskcII, the popular Wm.
Fox star who will be Keen at the Im-

s Vola vale as his leading woman.
This picture is xald to set a record for
continuous dramatic su.-pense and to
be invincible against motion picture
patrons whose boast i, "I can guess
how it will come out."
On Sat unlay will be shown "The
U. P. Trail," a perfect picturization
of a Zane Grey story that has been
read and enjoyed by twenty million
people, a mighty sweeping romance of
love, high adventure and human emo
tion.
On Sunday Jesse I Lasky presents
a George Melford production Roscoe
(Fatty) Arbuckle in "The Roundup."
This is a Paramount picture and all
who have seen Roscoe Arbuckle in
comedies during the past three years
will find his characterization of fat
"Slim" Hoover, the sheriff whom no
body loves, a worth while treat.
On Monday will be presented the
Universal picture of mountains and
mystery, "The Blazing Trail," starring
Frank Mayo and directed by Robert
Thornby, a dramatic masterpiece.
Medical science, mountain feuds, men
tal aberration and primitive love are
(lualities skilfully blended into a fas
cinating photodrama in this picture.

Lubricating oil must do two things enable the
engine to deliver maximum power protect every
bearing and engaging part against weac
The quick, complete combustion of fuel generates maximum
- power. But it requires a gas-tight oil seal between piston
rings and cylinder walls to hold this power to its work.
And to get maximum work every bearing and engaging part
must offer the least possible resistance to movement must
stay in perfect fit and alignment, cushioned against wear and
friction by a protective oil film.
Polarine meets every requirement. It maintains its body and
its lubricating qualities, practically unchanged, under all
weather and operating conditions. It assures full compression
and power gets the biggest mileage out of every gallon of
gasoline. It keeps down wear, prevents vibration, breakage
and big overhauling and repair expense.
Polarine is made in four grades light, medium heavy, heavy
and extra heavy but only one quality. Get the proper grade
