AT THE CHURCHES
CHURCH OF CHRIST
The Two Covenants" er "Rightly
Dividing -the Word," is the continua
tion of the series on the Book of He
brews that the minister is preaching
at the morning service. "The Herald
of a New Day," is the evening subject.
Make these services what you will.
It is the desire of the minister to
present the Gospel at each sermon and
he appreciates the kindly interest at
every service.
Mrs. Scotten, the chairman of the
Christmas program, is working hard
and promises a great program on Fri
day evening, December 24th. The of
fering on that occasion will be used
for disabled ministers, their orphans
and widows.
We are making an effort to raise
the amount of the paving tax which
is due January 18th. Many are re
sponding nobly to this call. A gift
from each one will raise the amount.
Come to the church with a message
and a welcome.
STEPHEN J. EPLER, Minister.

f Next Tuesday, December 21, marks
the three hundredth anniversary of
the landing of the pilgrims. So that
in commemoration o this event, the
sermon topic Sunday morning will be
"The Spirit of the Pilgrims."
Sunday night at 7:30 the choir, un
der the direction of Mrs. Dunning,
will give a musical program. Our
choir has made splendid progress this
year and deserve commendation for
their excellent work. Many large
city churches are not as fortunate in
the munlc as we are. There is a to
tal enrollment of some fifty members,
and a usual attendance oi about half
that number. Mrs, Hershman's work
t at the piano and as a soloist has been
'greatly appreciated by the choir and
congregation. The Sunday night pro
