In all 'auman probability we shall
next winter see a congestion of mil
road traffic worse than we had last
winter, because the railroads will
then be no better prepared to han lle
traffic than they are now. The can
not get ready before next fall for the
large increase in business. Every
thing which can be handled this
summer should be transported at the
earliest moment possible. - Every'
private family and every factory
which can stock up wit a coal during
the summer should do so.' With
steady demand from all coal consum
ers with a view to supplying next
winter's needs, the mines could be
kept In regular operation during the
summer and the railroads,, hamper
ed as they are, would In all proba
bility be able to handle, says Manu
facturers' Record. Anyone who puts
off buying his supply of coal until
next winter is taking a grett risk of
getting none.
