The mothers' mcHIng at the home
i of Mrs. Charles llenry, yesterday
'afternoon, wsa well attended. A
most enjoyable program was pre
pared, consisting of readings by va
rious members of the soclpty, and a
solo by Mrs. J. W. Keed entitled,
"Mother's White Ribbon." Five
new recruits were dedicated. Includ
ing two pair or twins, Jacquelln and
Gene Tallow, thirteen months old,
and Colombo Martha Conner and
Clyde Allan Conner, acod Ave years.
Also Pershing Gould, aged about one
year. Mrs. F. M. Phelps was leader.
I o'clock in the evening they will meet
at the Hall again and go in a body
!to the First Iiaptist Church for a
special service.

nerved about 5 o'clock.

Each member of the guild was re
sponsible for the presence r.f three
quests beside horsdf. maklim one

through the apron route to defray

WOMAN'S CLUB RECEPTION
Tho reception for new members
held at the Library by the Woman's
club last Tuesday afternoon was a
most successful and enjoyable affair.
About sixty guests were present and
many new members were added to
tho club, bring its membership ur
to ninety. A pleasing program was
rendered consisting of an address of
welcome by the outgoing president,
Mrs. Alico McDonald, a talk by Mrs.
Rowan, a recitation by Alice iirlttan
and a reading by Margaret Turner.
Also a number of musical selections
were given. Refreshments were
served and the room was tastefully
decorated with carnations.

of beautifully colored pictures rep
resenting the "mass movement in
India." Many people are aware
that the most, stupendous religious
awakening any land has ever had is
going on in India at the present
time. It Is the only land of any
age that the church could not fur
nish missionaries enough to baptize
all those who wish to become Chris
tians. These pictures are carefully
gathered by missionaries from real
photographs and It will be a correct
representation of this most phenom
Inal revival. No collection, aside
from the regular evening offering,
will be taken.
MRS. FIXCH ENTERTAINS
Mrs. C. I Finch entertained a
number of friends at cards last eve
ning In honor of her sister, Mrs. T.
C. Terry of Julesburg, Colo., who is
islting here. The following guests
were present: Misses Edna Bene

Mesdamea John Beach, T. C. Terry,
Tiert Duncan. M. J. Baskln, A. W.

After a pleasant evening spent In
playing five-hundred at which Mrs.
Bert Duncan won honors, and Mrs.
John Beach received the consolation,
a delicious two-course lunch was
served. Tables were prettily deco
rated with sweet peas.
