John nikington has been of
fered a contract to sell and handle
United States government flour. The
government sets the price, both what
he pays and what he must Bell it for.
This is done to show the people that
there Is plenty of wheat and flour to
run the country and that it Is fool
ishness on the people's part to buy
large stocks of flour and to run
prices, up. It you will buy flour and
other foodstuffs In small lots and
even do without things that you can
get along without, prices are bound
to take a fall. The profiteers and
speculators will be glad to let go.
Mr. nikington Informs us that the
selling price at present is $3.36 for
49 pounds, not 48 pounds.
