Another telegram received at the
recruiting office to the effect that
one-year enlistments for the signal
corps school at Camp Vail, N. J., will
close within the next two weeks is
considered to be of great importance
as there are a great many fellows
In Alliance and vicinity that have ex
pressed themselves as being Inter
ested. Never before In the history
of recruiting has the signal . corps
been open as this particular branch
has always been filled by transfer.
It is therefore, easily seen why this
hmnrh should be filled so uickly.
There will be Just enough men ac-
ontfid to complete one more class
and from this time It will be neces-
urr ta enlist in some other Drancn
of the service and take a chance on
transferring. The recruiting officers
m win in sr to talk to any one con
