The reputation of a house Is estab lished almost entirely from two con tacts with the public the advertis ing which brings the buyer to your place of business, and the merchan dising which he encounters when he arrives. If your advertising is truthful and your merchandising is fair, you have established a good reputation with the buyer and have created a cus tomer who will return again and again regardless of your printed word. If your advertising is untruthful or your merchandising unfair, it will take a tremendous amount of ap pealing copy with an enormous re sulting waste to get that individual back into your institution.
