HKUl SCHOOL NOTION V A class program was given by the members of the Junior class, Friday morning, .during assembly. . , One number of the program was a min strel show, and the others was an '"Old Malds' Tea Tarty." The latter number was'qutte Interesting, la that the gossip caused some squirming on the part of. the different Individ uals in the audience. However, v cone of the remarks were of a malic ious nature, and the victims, were able to laugh .as heartily as the others. ' Owing to the cold weather, aa un usually small crowd was present to witness the "debacle" which . took (lace Friday at thfootball grounds, but those who did attend were amply repaid for their effort. It was a fine sight to see our boys walk all ' over our old rivals. . At the end of the game the score stood 47 to 0 in favor of Alliance, v A large box of candy was pre sented to the football boys by the proprietor of the "Sugar Bowl,1 Monday morning, as a reward for winning the game. "To them that hath" , We are sorry to hear of the illaeas of Gladys McFarland, who has been operated upon for appendicitis. We all hope for her speedy recovery. -. The mixer, Friday night. was a decided success. The students bad a Jolly time, good eats, and got better acquainted with each other. Some have been heard to express a desire to "mix"' every Friday night. The Sidney football boys were guetg of honor. The Sidney coach Bays that Sidney has the best material for basket ball that it has had in a long time, both in the girls' and the boys' team. ' This is undoubtedly true, the -teams being made up largely of experienced players. Alliance will have to look to her basket ball laurels during the coming season. Our girls are working up. enthusi asm and muscle In the gym. and will organise a .basket ball team after Thanksgiving. The boys will organise a little later. Some of us were disappointed at not seeing all the material for the "Spud" in piint, this wtik. We axe told that the wealth of material waa o great that pome had to be left for the next edition.
