Mr. Prince assures us that we can beat Scottsbluff in spite of their weight. if our boys will do their best wosk. The boys will do this, but it is the v.ty vt every other Interested person to do his or her best, also. We want a big crowd to be there to celebrate a big victory. The game will be played at the fair grounds. Scottsbluff was victorious in a game with Sidney, last Friday at Scottsbluff. The score was 33 to 0. For obvious reasons there exists be tween Alliance and Sidney a more sympathetic feeling than usual. Some representatives from Alliance high attended the game, but are not in the least daunted by the prospects. A Spud subscription contest was held this week ending Thursday. The class securing 100 per cent subscrip tions first, will be given the privilege of having its picture in the maga xne. The place of honor was woo by the seniors. A fortnightly copy will be issued this year. An interesting program was given by the senior class Friday of last week. It consisted of the following: Fiano solo, Margary Stephens; read ing, Madeline Zediker: sones. elrls I of the clasB; mock wedding, boys of me class. The wedding ceremony was the most unique feature of the entertainmnt. The bridal party con sisted entirely of boys. Scott Lee, Russel Mann, Clinton Brennon, How ard Lotspelch, John Donovan, Ray Edwards and Stanley Wright were, as ladies, attired In wedding finery which greatly enhanced their mascu line beauty. The gentlemen of the party consistd of Horace Fuller, Glen Joder, Wray Romlnger and Harold Gavin. Horace Fuller, as the bride groom, Horatio, pledged himself to .take the blushing bride. John Don ovan, "to contradict, dispute and browbeat;" and in return, the bride, Johanna, promised to adopt Horatio as her "idol, her master and her lit tle tin god." A few moments of sick ening suspense followed while the perspiring bridegroom searcned for the ring. After a frenzied search through all his pockets, he at last located it in his hat, which, in his confusion, he had placed upon his head. In giving away the bride, the father gave her a very unpaternal shove in the direction of the bride groom, and the couple were pro nounced "duly spliced,' and the preached charged them 'to go in peace, and consider him blameless. The period tests will be given Fri day, as usual, the afternoon session starting at 12:30, In order to close In time for the game.
