WHKRKIN nnd how does thl Chandler Six excel other cars In
its price field, you may ask. In many ways It excels and In
all ways taken together it excels tremendously. No car
should be selected because of its superiority In any one feature,
for it is the unit performance by which the car will be measured.
See how the Chandler checks with nine of the best known high
priced cars in eight features selected as being charactei istic of
high grade design and most excellent service.
MOTOR
The Chandler power plant is mounted on a large and substan
tial one-piece aluminum base which permanently holds each part
in true relation to all other parts, preventing friction, loss of pow
er, wear and engine trouble on the road. This form of base con
struction also protects the moving parts of the engine and acces
sories against water, dust, mud and other road drift coming from
in under.
The solid cast aluminum motor base ties the frame sides most
securely and provides a rigid engine mounting. This construction
also provides an unusually solid foundation for the long heavy
crank shaft. The perfectly balanced crank shaft thus supported,
cannot "whip." This. In turn, eliminates unnecessary vibration
and wear and adjustment.
The three large and rigid crank shaft bearing supports are
heavi y and solidly built to withstand the continuous shocks of the
cylinder tiring. The fact that we are willing to pay the price of
this construction sure.y ,. ev.dence of our sincere Lention o pro
duclng the best automobile in its field.
