Sunday afternoon a train load of sugar beets passed through Alliance enroute from Belle Founhe, South Dakota, to Scottsbluff A large num ber of augar beets are raised on the Belle Fourche government irrigation project, but have to be shipped to the Scottsbluff factory to be made into sugar. A factory is being built in the Belle Fourche Taller and will be ready In time for the 1918 crop.
