Firemen Whitley has layed off for several days on account of urgent business up town that needed his im mediate attention. Engineer George Milliken's turn was tilled last week by the oldest man, Henry Reunau. George Reid then stepped up and took Mr. Ren nau's regular turn on No. 44, east end. and it is not definitely known ' as yet Just who will get Reid's turn i on the west end. This move was j caused by the fact that Mr. Milliken had been off for a period of 90 days without reporting for work accord ing to the schedule. Engineer R. E. Spencer went to Antioch yesterday where he took his regularly assigned turn on the An tioch switch engine. He replaced Engineer Sitzman, who was holding the turn as an extra man. Fireman Salisbury went to Craw ford Hill yesterday to relieve Mont gomery, who was brough to Alliance for service from this point. A. N. Thompson, who can easily qualify for most any old position at the round house, and who has worked at most of the Jobs, Is now assigned as night electrician, in place of George Cadman. He was formerly night engine Inspector, and before that a handyman, and previous to that time had been a hoBtler and previous to that oh, we don't know what.
