The tlrst meeting for the farm women of Box Butte county was held Tuesday at the home of Mrs. II. A. Trabert. east of Alliance Though the weather kept some wom en at home the meeting was well at tended. The moruitig was spent In discussing the vegetable garden. Some of the women are planning on planting such vegetables as Swiss chard, spinach and cauliflower, so that later on in the season they can be canned for winter use. After a splendid picnic lunch the women took up the discussion of the necessary foods that go to make up I balanced or well selected meal, and also the food value and the cookery of milk and eggs. While some of the women took care of the children the rest helped in preparing the var ious dishs. The next meting tor this nlghborhood will be held at the home of Mrs. M. O. Wambaugh. The exact date will he announced later. The meeting Wednesday was held at the home of Mrs. A. H. Grove and the Thursday meeting at the home of Mrs. F. H. Nason. The meetings Friday and Saturday of this week will be held at the homes of Mrs. H. C. Hansen and Mrs. Harry Pierce, re spectively. The two latter meetings are In the vicinity of Hemlngford.
