ed last week from an extended visit
with relatives and friends in the

Monday to look after business mat

C. L. Drake is authority for the
statement that he has the finest Lew
ellen setter In Nebraska, having pur
chased the dog Sunday from a trav
eling salesman who was here in an
auto. Mr. Drake says the dog is
registered, and is trained "Just about
as fine us can be".

Earl Knapp is starting the erec
tion of his new house on Toluca this
week.
Mr. and Mrs. Olaf Lofquist, of
near Antioch, passed thru Alliance
Sunday on their way to their new
home at Auburn, Wash. The Bon,
Lais, left Saturday with the car of
stock and household goods. The
LofquiBts came here from Washing
ton six years ago and had made their
home near Antioch since that time
He recently disposed of the place
there and decided to return to Wash
ington, where they have a large
farm.

Mr. and Mrs. V.. Sharp came in
the latter part of last week from
their homestead near Akron, Colo.,
for a few days' visit with relatives
and friends. Mr. Sharp worked in
tne jewelry department of Itrennan's
store for some time. They left here
last May.

with pleurisy.
