Amy J. Kelntop claims that she was married to Win. F. Klentop at Alliance on December 16. 1907. They lived together until February 2, 1915. when he decided to hunt for a new location as an automobile me chanic, and she was sent to the home of his parents at Creston, Iowa, to remain until he was settled, and he was then to send for her. That was the last heard from him for some time, and on May 5 of this year his parents made known the fact that they did not care for her further Vompany and ahe was asked to move, She wrote to her husband at Kan Francisco, where she had found he was located, asking for transporta tion to the roast city, but he ignored the request, and she returned to Al jUance. The petition further states that the defendant had frequently cursed and beuten the plaintiff, and that on several occasions he had afll: fd her to get a divorce, ns he no longer cared for her. He is also charged with adulterous conduct .wlth a certain Alliance woman whose name Is not divulged In the peti tion. It la further stated that the defendant has an earning capacity of $125 to $150 a month, and holds 4.000 shares In the Alliance garage, which Is 60 per cent of the total tock, and that the gnrnge building Is now renting for $1,800 a year, and It is asked that be be required to pay reasonable alimony. The second case la that of Katbryn Pawn vs. Teter C. Rawn. She clalniB they were married In Littleton, Colo., on August 25, 1904. The petition charges desertion and extreme cruel ty. On July 29. 1914, It is claimed, be deserted her and since that time bas refused to support her, and has on many occasions called her vile and obscene names, striking her many times, and asking her to get a di vorce as he cared more for the so ciety of other women. The petition further states that he boasted of his Infidelity to the plaintiff and his as sociation with other women, and that bis blows had caused serious bodily Injury, all these actions being with out any just cause on her part. Inlly Fine $1200 was the total amount re ceived by the Elks from their fair last week, this amount being taken in on sales, games and dances. The largest crowd was present Suturday nitht, the building being crowded until a late hour. The dances each night proved a feature. Both the music and the floor were excellent. No pains were spared by the com mittee for the entertainment of the visitors, and they received many complimentary remarks on their manner of handling everything. All the donations by the merchants were of more than ordinary worth. The sheriffs and stockmen were presented with cards by the order entitling tlieni to enjoy the new home during the last four days of the week. SUCCESSFUL CONVENTION District Christian Kndeovors Enjoy Fine Time In Alliance at Chadron Next Year The district Christian Endeavor! convention closed Sunday night with each and every delegate voting it one of the best ever held. Nearly fifty ' delegates were present, and both the spiritual and social interest was of a high order. The entire program was carried out. A banquet waa given in honor of the delegates at the Christian church Friday evening at 7 o'clock, all the remaining sessions being held at the Presbyterian church.
