are needing more live stock every year?

territory may draw the supplies of cattle and sheep for their feeding
operations?
That Sioux City is showing a bigger percentage of Increase in
her live stock business than any of the lending primary market cen
ters? That there Is no better live stock feeding section In the United
States than Is the section of which Sioux City Is the center?
That Sioux Clyt's cattle receipts for the first five months of 1915
increased 23 per cent over number at the same market for the like
period of 1914?
That Sioux City's hog receipts for the first five months of 1915
Increased 62 per cent over number received for the same period of
1914? .
That Chicago's sheep receipts have fallen off 30 per cent this
year to date compared with last year?
That Sioux City's per cent of decrease in sheep for tills year to
date is the same as that of Chicago?
That this spells a thirty per cent shortage in the mutton supply
of the country?
That every flock of sheep in this country can be increased 30
per cent and the mutton supply will be short of normal needs?
That there has been an enormous slaughter of cattle since last
fall that should have been in pastures and feed lots for the beef mar
ket of the coming fall and winter?
That Sioux City will want largely increased supplies of cattle
this fall to meet demands of farmers in Sioux City territory?
That the farmer is learning to want to buy his feeders at the
nearby market if possible?
That hog receipts at Sioux City for the year to date will pass
the million mark this month?
That the local market shows an Increase of 5,000 horses for the
year, a gain of 100 per cent?
That Chicago has been closed to a stocker trade since last fall?
That Sioux City has passed the 200,000 mark In cattle this
year?
That 62 per cent of these cattle have been fat cattle?
That 72,391 stock cattle were shipped from here during the first
five months of the year, compared with 69,782 head the correspond
ing period in 1914?
That Nebraska purchased 4,000 fewer stock cattle at this mar
ket during that period compared with last year?
That Sioux City is getting more good ripe fat cattle than ever
before and It Is because Sioux City wants this kind and needs them?
That a pleased patron is the best ad, and Sioux City pleases Its
patrons? '
That there will be an outlet from the Sioux City market for a
half million sheep and lambs to go into feed lots in northwestern
Iowa, South Dakota, southern Minnesota and northeastern Nebraska
this fail?
That shippers of live stock from territory north and west of
Norfolk, Nebraska, when using the Northwestern lines, via Norfolk,
are 43 miles nearer to Sioux City than to their next nearest market?
That they are 507 miles nearer to Sioux City than to Chicago?
That special train service from Norfolk will be arranged for ten
or more cars by giving sufficient notice?
That while one and two-car shipments arriving at Norfolk on
regular stock trains at present are subject to some delay at that
point, yet reach Sioux City at 6:25 a. in. a splendid time to arrive
for early market?
That the Burlington lines handle western cattle and sheep, des
tined to Sioux City, from their western territory in a most satisfac
tory manner?
That Sioux City's Increase of 39,000 cattle for the year to date
is more than half the net increase at the six leading primary mar
kets for the same period?
That this market shows 62 per cent increase In hogs for the
year to date while the increase at the six markets is only 18 per
cent?
That a growing boy has the best appetite and that Sioux City is
