    MAN LEAPS FROM TRAIX
Forrest Graham of Lead, R. D.
leaped from bis berth thru the. win
dow of a Pullman on No. 42 yester
day evening and was badly Injured.
The accident happened Just west of
Ardmore. Mr. Graham has been In
poor health for several months from
the result of which ho became men
tally depressed and at times Irration
al. It was thought that If ho were
taken to a lower altitude his condi
tion would , improve. Yesterday
morning his brother, E. It. Graham,
started for Westphalia Mo. with him.
They reach Edgemont without acci
dent but shortly after they left there
'while they were preparing to retire,
the young man complained of the
car being too warm and asked his
brother to raise the window. He
complied with the request but the
outer window stuck and required
considerable effort to raise It. When
It did open It shot up suddenly clear
to the top and without warning the
young man leaped thru it head fore
most. As he Jumped his brother
managed to get hold of his hand and
held for a short time In that man
ner after he was on the outside of
the car. The weight was too gTeat
however, for his brother and he fell
to the ground. He struck on his
feet but owing to the rate at which
the train was traveling he rolled ov
er and over on the rocks which cover
ed the ground.
The alarm was given and the train
was stopped and backed up to where
the acicdent occurred. The young
man was found lying twenty feet
