K. Shafenberx anil A. Matthews of
Uingham were In Alliance today.
They report farming conditions as
being good. The grass is growing
nicely. Stock wintered well. A -number
of farmers are planning to sow
ulfalfa.
John Theros, a Greek, was arrest
ed yesterday on a charge of fighting.
He was lodged, in Jail and was found
guilty before Judge Zurn this morn
ing, getting 10 and costs.
Ralph Daley, who has been con
Uned to the hospital for the past
three weeks as a result of bullet
wounds, was able to be down town
today for the first time. In all
probability he will be able to leave
for his home in Bingham within a
day or two.
Floyd Donovan, who had an oper
ation on his arm to reduce a fracture
recently, left the hospital yesterday.
In five or six weeks it will be nec
essary to perform another operation
to remove the silver plates which
were screwed on the bone.
Mrs; A. M. Daley of Lead, S. D.,

H. Swan. .Mrs. Daley is the mother
of Mrs. Sylvester Preston of Los An
geles and Mrs. William Nelk ef Lead.
S. D., both these ladies were- former
ly residents of Alliance.
Mr. and Mrs. W. Thoinpeen are
visiting friends in Alliance. They
were formerly residents of Box Butte
but moved to Idaho about four years
ago where they are nicely situated.
Mr. Thompson disposed of his ranch
in Box Butte Saturday.
A. F. Bundy went to Mitchell yes
terday on a short business trip. .
Mrs. D. E. Bowden returned to Al
liance yesterday after spjending tbe
winter at ber home in Kansas City.
Mr. Bowden Is superintendent for
the county during the construction
of the new court bouse.
