auspices of the ladles Aid Society.

At our first chapel exercise held
on Wednesday morning, we had the
pleasure of listening to a talk b y
Rev. Scoville, the famous evange
list. Mrs. Scoville sang several
songs which were greatly enjoyed.
The summer Bchool this year la the
largest In the history of the school,
students coming from all over the
state. Quite a number of students
from the Junior Normal schools at
Mroken Bow and North Platte are
attending here this summer.
President Hayes has Just returned
from North Platte, where he deliver
ed the commencement address t o
the eighth grade graduation class of
that place.

The yearly memorial services of
the IOOF lodge No. 168 were held
Sunday afternoon at the lodge room
In the city and at the cemetery. A
