It Is what le common ly celled tu water puppy. It was quite a curiosity to those who had never seen one before, but we are Informed that they abound in the larger lakes In the sandhill country. As water puppies are nev er known to leave the water them aelvea, Mr. KreneK considers It a mystery how they came to be on tiis place. He first eaw them i n the pond a Hon: seven weeks ago. when they were only about an inch in length. He thinks the first one brought to the pond may have been carried by a duck.
