and teachers. The first event to
mark the approach of the close of
scnool was the Junior-Senior banquet
given in the High school gymnasium
Saiurday night of last week. Other
events are as follows: Senior clans
play at I'helan opera house, Mav
17th; Baccalaureate sermon at the
Open house. May lllth; Alumni
banquet at High school gymnasium,
Wednesday, May 22nd; High school
graduation exercises at I'helan Open
house, Thursday evening, May 2:'.d,
ai 8: 16 o'clock; and county and city
Kighth grade graduation exercises at
the I'helan opera house, Friday, May
24th, at 2 .:: p.m. The Kightli grade
exercises will be held in the afternoon
to accommodate the people from the
country , tints enabling; them to re
turn home the day the exercises are
held.
Senior Class Play
The senior class play will be giv
en at the opera house, Friday even
ing. May 17th, beginning an S::tO o'
clock. The class will present "Hicks
at College", a play written for the
senior elass of the University of
Michigan and played with success
not only there but in many High
schools thruout the country. The
play was successfully presented by
the High schools of Kalrbury and
Omaha of our own state. Admission
60 cents and :!5 centfe.
Union Baccalaureate Service
A union baccalaureate service will
Ik? held at the Chelan opera house.
Sunday evening, May l!th, at 8 o'
clock. This service, as are all the
church s. 1 vice of the public schools,
will be a union service, the pastors
