This Raster window is different from anything ever before seen in Hon Butte county, and one of the most beautiful it has ever been our goo1 fortune to look upon. O. BARNES ELECTED MAYOR From Wednesday's Dally: Everybody in Alliance is feelitiR as well today as could be expected under the circumstances. In fact, much better than they usually do KoilowlOC a hotly contested city elec tion. With the intense interest I here was in the license Issue, if Its decls-. ion had depended upon the candi dates to be elected it would have been followed by bitter feelings that Would have taken months or perhaps years to eradicate. As it Is, there is no ill feeling anywhere today. This Js very gratifying to us. as we ftave so long favored settling the local op tion question, as well as other ques tions of public interest, by a direct Note. The city went wet again as had been forecasted in these columns, but by a reduced majority. The li cense question was not decided by direct vote last year, two sets of can didates being nominated, one favor ing and the other opposing the li cense. The license candidates last ye, it- won by a majority of about one hundred more than this year's ma jority for license. At yesterday's election 688 votes were cast. Of these 399, or 66 more than half, voted for license, 268 vot ed against license, and 31 did not vote on the license question. Fol lowing is the vote on the candidates for city offices: u. s.
