The battle came on early in the

ago on the corner of Yellowstone

a church building on this site.
The Nebraska District of the tier

been doing mission work in thte city
for the last twenty years. Service
went conducted up to laet yoar by
Lutheran pastors from Hemlngford,

five miles from Alliance and later in
the city In various localities But ow
ing to this tact the mission among
Gorman Lutherans in Alliance made
slow progreaa.

resident pastor, Rev. Titus lung,
was placed in cliarge of llie mission.

ducted regularly every Sunday morn
