Demand for Daily Newspaper in Al
liance to be Met for One
Month at Least
FIRST ISSUE. MARCH 16, 1912
Yielding to repeated and urgent ro
quews to establish a daily newspa
per in Alliance. The UM-nM Publish
ing Company has docidd to make
the experiment for one month, com
mencing Saturday, Mnrrh 16, and
continuing till Monday, April 15. The
renson for selecting this particular
period to try tho venture one month
1s that, on account of the union re
vival meetings which are to be com
mented next Sunday, a full account
of which will be published in the
dally, a large number of extra sub
scribers can be secured. We are
planning to print one sermon com
plete in each Issue alter the first.
While the dally will give full ac
count of these meetings, its news wil
not be confined to them by any
means. We will give the usual
Quota of local news, besides state
ami general news to some extent.
The daily will be strictly nonparti
san. If politics are discussed, it
will be from an independent stand
point. The Alliance Daily Herald wUI be
published one calendar mont.h daily
except Sunday, making tweaity-slx
issues. The subscription price will
be 5 cents per single copy, IS cents
per week, and 50 cents for the en
tire month. We will print some ex
