At the school hous' everybody was happy "To be good", you know, "is to be happy." And may we not say. too, "To be happy In to be good?" He this as It may, all the people there were good enough to be happy, and to bring turkeys, chickens, jellies, pies, cakes, etc. No chef could make hotter, and all the kind, good people had no liv ers out of order, and the department of Ihe Interior was ready, to receive and digest tbe excellent provisions brought to the school house by the WlntermuU's and Merryhews and I'lsela and Strasburgers and many others not so far away. Although all ate heartily and laughed Joyously no one we know of needed a doctor. Mr. Merryhew prayed a sincere and at nest Thanksgiving prayer. May our kind Heavenly Father continue to bless him and his estimable wife. After the tables (which had been built by the Phllpott brothers) had been laden with the splendid thtngs God gave the people, and transferred by the crowd of about one hundred present, toasts were given by Miss lticy Pinkham, Mrs. Sam Speer, and Messrs. Rev. Porter, Moore, Harri son, Strasburger, Starr and John B. Strnsburgei. None were dry toasts.
