Conveyances for
Memorial Day
The Spanish-American war veterans
will consider it a special favor if all
parties having conveyances will use
them freely in transporting the crowd
next Sunday afternoon between the
city and cemetery. Services at the
cemetery following the Memorial ser
vice at Phelan opera house which will
be held at 2:30 o'clock.

Last Sunday night a
service was held at the M
church, and the class sermon
was preached by Jlov. J. M.
Huston, the Baptist pastor. The
church was filled to overflowing,
quite a number being unable to
get in.
Last evening the eighth grade
graduating exercises for city and
country schools were held in the
Phelan opera house. There was
a large attendance. Supt. A.
H. Waterhouse of the Fremont
city schools delivered an address

class play, "The College Wid
ow," will be given in the opera
house. Although it has been
raining during, the day, indica
tions at the time of writing these
lines are that the evening will
be pleasant, and no doubt there
will be a large attendance.
The High school graduating
exercises will, bo held in the
opera house tonight. We are
more than pleased to announce
that Governor Shallenberger
will deliver the address of the
evening.
