John VanCamp went to Alliance' one
day tbis week to visit and help his
brother Odd Fellow, Rem Hand, Jr.,
who is being treated in the hospital
there. We have seen the workings of
many lodges and benevolent fraternities
but know of none that does more work
for its members thari the I. O. O. F.
Hay Springs Enterprise.
H. S. McKay of Des Moines, in
spector for the Travelers' Indemnity
Company, arrived in Alliance last Fri
day to make some inspections. Tho
boilers of the Alliance Laundry and
the Electric Light Plant were inspected
and we understand were found in a
satisfactory condition.
Geo. J3ebner, one of The Herald's
many subscribers in the northwest part
of the county came to the city Monday
on ponyback, returning the same even
ing. It was a delightful day for such
a trip, but rather too warm for comfort
on the way down. ,

Come in and Let Us
Show You How to
Reduce Them
We have solved the fuel prob
lem by inventing an OIL BUR
NER that burns oil right from
THE WELLS as well as any
products or by-products such as
the highest grade distillate, down
to the lowest grade of fuel oil,
and gives perfect, uniform heat,
thereby cutting your fuel bill in
half, being a saving of 50 to 75
per cent to the consumer. Can
be attached to any stove.
