Owing to the blizzard they were un able to get here until late, and ad journed until tomorrow morning at nine o'clock. Alliance, Neb., Feb. 24, 1909 Board of county commissioners met pursuant to adjournment; all members present. The following proceedings were had and done: The petition of Clyde Whelau and fifteen others, and J. C Blumdell and twenty others, for a public road to be laid gut, commencing at the northeast corner of section 5, town 28, range 49, and running thence south between sections 4 and 5 and 8 and 9, town 28, range 49, and terminating at the southeast corner of the northwest cor ner of section 8, town 28, range 49. On motion of Keck and seconded by Jensen, the above petition and remon strance are rejected. The petition of C. A. Burlew and 36 others for a public road to be laid, commencing at the northwest corner of the southwest corner of section 10, township 28, range 49, and running thence directly south and terminating at the southwest corner of the south west quarter of section 10, town 27, range 49. On consideration whereof the above petition is laid over until the next meeting for further consider ation. It is the order of the commissioners that the deposit requited by law in the petition of C. A. Burlew et al. for road be waived, and the clerk appoint a commissioner to go and view said proposed road and report on same. In compliance with the above order, I, W, C. Mounts, county clerk, hereby appoint J. l Jensen as such commis sioner to view said proposed road. "To the Hon. Board of County Commissioners of Box Butte county, Nebraska; I respectfully submit the following bid for the county poor farm and for keeping the county poor for the term of oue year, commencing on March t, 1909: "For the use of the poor farm will pay said county the sum of one hun dred and twenty-five dollars per year. 1 will keep the county paupers for the sum of S3. 75 per week, up and in cluding the number of six, and for all paupers in excess of six, for the sum of 5250. The above bid is made on the condition that the house on Said poor farm be made habitable, and I Will enter into an agreement to care and keep said premise in as good condition at the time of leaving as they are at the time of entering said premises, the usual wear and inevitable tccidents excepted.
