It gives us unalloyed pleasure to an nounce the marriage of Dr. Herbert Al onzo Copsey ot Alliance and Miss Maybelle Celestine O'Bryan of Broken How, Nebr., at the St. Joseph Catholic church in the latter city, Father Donely performing the marriage ceremony. The bridesmaid was Miss Beatrice O'Bryan, sister of the bride, and the groomsman Mr. Michael O'Uryan, brother of the btide. The wedding break fast was served by the bride's sister, Mrs. F. V. Hayes, at her residence in Broken How. The happy couple arrived in Alliance today and will take up their residence in the finely furnished home which Dr. Copsey recently purchased in the north west part of the city. A reception will bo tendered them this evening at the K. C. hall. Dr. Copsey is too well known to our Herald readers to need any words of in troduction or commendation from us. His bride is spoken of as one of the most popular and highly esteemed young ladies of Broken Bow, and we bespeak for her a most hearty and cordial reception in Al liance. In wishing them much joy and happiness we but give expression to the universal sentiment of the people of this city. MORRISON-MIUETT, Mr. Andrew 11. Morrison and Miss Golda Shuett, both of Alliance, were united in marriage at the Methodist par sonage last Saturday evening, Jan. iG, 1909, Kev. J. L. Vallow officiating. The groom is n hrakeman in the employ of the Burlington, and has many friends here. The bride has not resided long in this city, having recently come here from Kansas They will make Alliance their home and will receiye a warm welcome, as all worthy people do. At 7 o'clock last Wednesday evening, at the residence of the bride, occurred the wedding of two of Alliance's popular young people, Mr. Benjamin H. Fernaldand Miss Eliisbe'th Johnston. Kev. Mr. and Mrs. Fernald are well and favorably known to the people of Alliance, and we are sure a host of friends will join the Herald in congratulations and wishes for all the happiness possible in their fu ture married lite. Merry Jane Jollification The Merry Janes together with their friends, little girl friends, met at the home of Miss Myrtle and Alice Carlson last Monday evening, tho event being a little girls' party. The little girl with her doll, dog or teddy bear was there? also the girl with the checkered King ham dress and the pig tail. Some of the girls had invited one of their boy friends to come and this particular boy friend took it upon himself to invite a few of nis boy friends to go to tho party. The girls pretended to be aw. fully put out about this procedure, but it is hoped they will forgive and forget. What's the use, girls, the boys nil know vour capacity as entertainers and they just couldn't resist. Hila Grand Hotel Bought Today by B. F. Lockwood J. W. Harper sold the Hila Grand hotel today to B.F. Lockwood who will take charge of this popular hostelry at once. The consideration was $i 0,000 which shows that Alliance realty is not qn the decrease, Mr. Harper will return to Aurora where his family is now living.- Notice.
