More rainfall here Inst Wednesday after noon, to the square inch in the same length of time, than tho people of Lakeside are in the habit of seeing, and sufficient hail camo with it to drive it into the ground, but it did not drive There is a a considerable quantity of it in evidence yet. It filled our back yards, our cistern s, our rain barrels and some of our collars. It drove every living thing to seek shelter, somewhere even to the lizards, a couple of which we learn, crawled into a cellar that was dry, and then loth to take chances on an encroaching flood, crawled into some jars of nice new sweet pickles and then quietly drowned.
