Exciting practice games take place on
the Hemingford diamond each evening
and Dunlap will have to look to her laurels.

The greatest celebration in the history
of Dunlap will take place there on the
Fourth. The Hemingford band will fur
nish the music for the exercises and con
duct the dance. Rev. Andrees, one of the
finest speakers in the state will deliver the
oration, A splendid lists jf sports has
been arranged, headed by the ball game
which will be played between Hemingfprd
and Dunlap. There will be an abundance
of shade, Tim Morrissey's fine grove hav
ing been secured.
In a letter Irom Casper, Wyo., Tub
Heralu learns that Mrs. Trout and Viola
were released by the supreme court after
having been sentenced by the lower court
on the charge of abandonment of a child.
Martin Trout was accused of killing cattle
and escaped to Missouri o.-er a year ago.
He was captured there and w ts returned
to Casper where he and two comrades
overpowered the jailors and oscaped being
still at large. Martin won first honors in
the N. W. Nebraska declamatory contest a
few years ago easily winning frCBi a num
ber of high school and academies. H.G was
