Dr. Eikner has a speciman of brome grass the best in his three-acre-patch that is 47 inches in length. The field averages 10 inches in height now and has been pastured a little this spring. A. M. Miller's patch of about 20 acres is growing nicely and will soon be ready for first cutting unless he leaves it to go to seed. There are many more patches in the vicinity ranging from half an acre to thirty acres. All is in fine condition. It is confidently be lieved that this grass .will advance the value of the land in this county, to 8 or $10 per acre.
