prise them. The evening was spunt in

ance will be here to deliver his lecture

is desired,
The "Valentine Social" given byllio
Presbyterian Sunday school at the Com
mercial hotel on Saturday night was
well utteiuled and the proceeds much
more than was expected. Heart shaped
doughnuts pierced with Cupid darts and
the table decorations of heart shaped
doylius of many sies were all very
pretty. The matching of valentines
which had been cut in two parts, one
hulf given to a lady and the other half
to a gentleman, afforded considerable
amusement.
Postmaster Snow and daughter.l'earl,
returned home this week from Lush ton,
whither they had been called by tele
gram announcing the serious illness of
Mr. Snow's mother who lived but a few
hours after their arrival. Grandma
Suow spent several years in Marsland
and is remembered by many as a very
dear old lady. She had reached the
ripe old age of 73 years. Two children,
ten grandchildren and two great grand"
children are the decendonts left to
mourn her loss.
