Wo arc pleased to chronicle tho mar riage this week of Miss Clara Moo to Mr. P. 0. Styvo of Albert Lou, Minn. Mr. Styvo is a merchant und is said to bo u well-to-do and upright citizen. Miss Moo was a schoolmate of the writer. She was ono of the brightest girls in school and since has attended a seminary in Minnesota. Thus she Is fitted to be a helpmate Indeed to tho man of her choice. They will depart soon for their now home lu Minnesota and take with them the well wishes of a host of frlonds in this county. These young people will live on tho Steve Drown ranch southwest of town and Mrs. Drown will probably go to tho Hills to be with her husband who is employed thero. Wo congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Donovan and trust they will find married life all they have pictured it to bo. Some have asked us what the law Is in regard to railroad crossings being held by freight trains. Wo have had the matter looked up and find thov have a right to hold it lor continuous passage only, and If they stop to tako water they must cut the crossing. This of course would be too much to ask or expect bub It does look like they could do a little better with tho north cross ing. There Is a flue of $50 for holding a crossing. Alonzo Sherwood is justice of tho peace and W. M, Foskct is con stable. A warrant sworn out before Sherwood could beserved immediately and tho business all done up "while you wait," and In much less time than the tlmo many people have to wait. The conductor has charge of a train so he would be tho man to bear the re sponsibility. Several have asked us what could bo done and the abovo is what a lawyer told us. Wo would rec ommend forbearance, but whenever forbearance ceases to be a virtue we should do what we legally could do. W. L. Walker was elected assessor; Alonzo Hhorwood ond Isaac Rockey, justices of tho peace; Clydo Wholnn and W. M. Foskct, constables; Luko Phillips, road overseer for Dorsoy precinct.
