McClellan has been sulFering with sopiething like mastoiditis the past ten days, and was not able to attend quarterly meeting at Plain view, neither able to preach at Elk Valley on Sunday. The Endeavor society of the Elk Valley church held a business meet ing and social at the Evan Way home Friday evening of last week. Thirty eight were present. Hirschbach. Mr. Hirschbach gave the committee in charge of the dance instructions to turn the dance proceeds into the community fund. After expenses were paid there was $12 turned over to the treasurer of the community club'. Everyone had a fine time and surely enjoyed the bounteous lunch.
