Feeders Endorse Regulation of
Packers
Two hundred members of the Neb
raska Livestock Feeders' association,
meeting at the University Farm, Lin
coln, pasged resolutions endorsing
proposed inatlonar legislation 'for the
regulation of ihe "packing industry".
The association also, voted to name
committees of feeders to cooperate
with th"e Colleger of Agriculture 'in
determining the cost of meat pro-:
ductioh and to investigate Ways aim
means of stabilizing markets. The
recent drop in fat stock prices has
cost Nebraska feeders thpusands 'of
dollars.. The' meat producers are
looking 'forward to the time when
they can receive- the cost of. produc
tion plus a-reasonable profit for their
finished product, the same as iany
other industry.
