the purpose of passing the annual
appropriation ordinance, with all
members present.
The minutes of the previous meet
ing were read and approved.
The following Ordinance No. 24C,
an ordinance providing for the ap
propriation of money, was placed or
its lirst reading and was fully read.
On motion by Adair, seconded by
Buchanan, Ordinance No. 246 was
passed on its first reading, all mem
bers voting "Aye."
On motion by Adair, seconded by
Buchanan, Ordinance No. 246 was
placed on its second reading and
fully read a second time.
On motion by Adair, seconded by
Buchanan, Ordinance No. 246 was
passed on its second reading, all
word Cyril Oliver, deceased.
Notice is nereby given, 'mat tno
creditors of the said deceased will
meet the Administrator of said es
tate, before mc, County Judge of Da
kota County, Nebraska, at the County
Court Room in sold County, on tho
17th day of November, 1919, and on
the 26th day of January, 1920, at ten
o'clock A. M. each day, for the pur
pose of presenting their claims for
examination, adjustment and allow
ance. Three months arc allowed for
creditors to present their claims and
one year for the Administrator to
settle said estate, from the 23rd day

On motion the sum of 3100.00 was
ordered transferred from the gunurul
fund to the cemetery fund, and the
sum of $200.00 from the general
fund to the road fund out of mom
eye not otherwise appropriated. It
wa then moved, seconded, and car
ried that the clerk and treasurer pay
off and retire so muny of the light
and water bonds of the village ns the
condition of the respective funds
will warrant.
The returns of the general village
flection being presented, the same
were duly, canvassed, whereupon it
was found-that there were 21 votes
cast at said, election and1 that U. F.
Broyhlll reeelved 18 votes for trus
tee; that Harry H, Adair received 18
votes for trust, ami that William
.Biermann. received 16 votes- for trus
tee. It was thoreforo moved, sec
onded and carried that as G. F.
Broyhlll, Harry II. Adair and Will
lam Biermann had received tho high
est number of votes at said election
that they bo declared duly elected.
The following oath was then taken
und subscribed by said officers:
"Stato of Nebraska, Dakota Coun
ty, ss. We, G. F. Broyhlll, Hurry
II. Adair and William Blcrmunn, do
solemnly swear that wo will support
the constitution of the United States
of America and of tho State of Ne
braska, and that wo will faithfully

ability.

ORDINANCE NO. 245, an Ordi
nance prohibiting tho discharge of
any firearms in the village of Dakota
City, was on motion placed on its
first reading and was thereafter reg
ularly road.
It was moved by Buchanan, second
ed by Biermann, all members pres
ent voting "Aye," that Ordinance No.
245 pass its first readjng.
It was then moved by Buchanan,
seconded by Biermann, all members
present votlmr "Ave." that tho rule
regarding tho passage of ordinances
bo suspended nnd that ordinance No,
245 bo placed on its second reading.
Ordinance No. 245 was then fully
read.
It was moved by Buchanan, second
ed by Biermann, that Ordinance No.
215 pass Its second reading, all mem
bers present voting "Aye."
It was then moved by Buchanan,
seconded by Orr, that the rule re
garding the passage of ordinances be
again suspended nnd that Ordinance
No. 245 bo placed on Its third and
final readimr. All members nrnsont

Ordinance No. 245 was thon regu
