Service of the University of Nebras
ka Collego f Agriculturo consists of
short courses. Specialists are sent
out to give demonstrations and lec
tures on household administration,
food study, and clothing. Tlicso
courses nro usually four days' long,
and they may bo attended by any
woman who pays n small feo neces
sary to defray expenses of renting a
hall, heat, light, etc. This year em
phasis is being placed on food study,
sinco food scarcity seems certain to
continue for considerable time. In
formation regarding Homo Econom
ics short courses may lie obtained
from tho Extension Service, Universi
ty Farm, Lincoln, Neb.

Mrs, II. F. McKeever returned last
Wednesday from New York, where
she was called two months ago by
tho illness of her son Enimett with

home she stopped at Mt. St. Clara
Academy, at Clinton, Iowa, to visit
her daughter, Sister Margaret Mary,
and found her ill with the flu, but
boforo she left her condition was fa
