K. YOUNG. During the week, hog choleru made itself felt on the farms of Jos. H. Twohig and Chas. Hansen, near Goodwin. Both of these men have vaccinated. Others to vaccinate in that section are Maurice McTaggart, John Carpenter and M. J. Beacom. Persons having sick hogs should have them examined and vaccinated at once if cholera is present, as a delay of a few days often means heavy losses. The law of our state speci fies that all hogs dying of any dis ease shall be burned. This should be carefully done at once to prevent spread of disease to other farms and to help in freeing your own farm of any contagion. The fall of the year, just after the last cutting of alfalfa, is one of the Hill best times to begin gopher eradi cation. Several formulas have been tried, but those who have used them say that nothing equals strychnine put into potatoes or carrots cut into cubes and dropped in the principal runways. Sufficient Turkey Red winter wheat has been located to supply home demand.
